Serendata Checklist

When getting started with Serendata, there is core data that must be prepared and uploaded. The quality of the data that is entered directly impacts Serendata outputs. At this stage you will have some of the following questions:

  • What data is required?

  • What does this data mean?

  • Who enters this information into Serendata?

The process that is followed when setting up Serendata is as depicted below:

Within each encompasses the following:

Phase

Description

Organisation

Phase 1 – Create the Organisation

An Organisation is the Client.

When creating the Organisation, you are required to enter the Name of the client, the Email Address of the direct Sysdoc Account Lead and an Overview of what the client does. At this stage, those that are to functionally use Serendata (input data, generate outputs etc) need to be set up in the system.

Core Data

Phase 2 – Create the Core Data

Once an Organisation has been created, it is time to set up the Core Data for the Organisation. Core data pertains to:

  • Business Areas e.g. Finance, Logistics etc

  • Locations

  • Action and Impact Types

  • Labels

  • People

Programme Settings

Phase 3 – Create the Programme

This phase of the process requires the Programme to be created, specify all key Project Personnel such as Communications Manager, Change Management Lead and Training Manager.

Project Settings

Phase 4 – Create a Project

This phase specifies the name of the Project and all settings within such as Milestones, Settings and Permissions.

Information added at each stage will need to be gathered by the Client. The inputting and processing of this data can be done by either the Client or Sysdoc.
