A programme represents a shell for project(s) that an Organisation is executing. A Programme can contain a single or multiple Projects. Whilst the use of Programmes is not mandatory, it can be useful to group related projects into Programmes to achieve a portfolio Level View of Change happening throughout an Organisation. The benefits of this being:
Increased and defined oversight across multiple projects in a single instance
Portfolio Reporting
Centrally manage multiple projects
Note: Prior to creating a Programme, there a prerequisite. All required Locations must be created in Serendata before a Programme can be created. However, if the process has been followed as detailed, this should not pose any difficulties.

1 | Enter a suitable Programme name in the Programme name* field. |
2 | Enter the Change Vision URL in the Change Vision URL* field. Note: This is the URL to your company specific Change Management Strategy/Policy. This typically is a link to a PowerPoint Presentation or Word Document. |
3 | Enter the name of Programme Contacts you wish to be notified of any changes in the programme in the Search Contacts* field. Note: Contacts refer to System Users that have already been created within the system and specifically to personnel that would need to know about any Programme changes. All names will be confirmed in the Selected Contacts field below. If a contact has been added by mistake, simply click |
4 | Enter the name of the Programme Sponsor in the Programme sponsor field. |
5 | Enter the Programme Start Date in the Start date* field. |
6 | Enter the planned Programme End Date in the End date* field. Note: If this is unknown, input a future date as this field in mandatory. |
7 | Select the Progress Status for the Programme from the Programme status dropdown list. Note: The options available are restricted by the start and end dates for the Programme. The status options available are:

Once the core details for a Programme have been added, Programme Milestones can be added.
