Password Reset

The purpose of this article is to detail how to reset User Passwords in Serendata.

To log on to Serendata, you will require a User ID (which is your specified email address) and the Password that was created during the account activation process and/or through any subsequent updates. Once your account has been activated, situations may arise where you find yourself locked out of the system. Potential reasons for being locked out of the system include:

  • Using incorrect credentials

  • Entering an incorrect password more than 10 times

This is the Serendata Log-On Screen.

Click on the Forgot password? link at the bottom of the screen.

  • Forget password? – Use this option to reset your password only.

Enter the email address to which the Serendata account is register to in the Email or Username field.

Check your email for the instructions on how to reset your password

Follow the instruction in the email

Confirmation that an email has been sent to the specified account will be displayed on screen. The email will provide all the necessary instructions to reset the password. If you do not receive the email click "Resend email".

Once you have submitted the request, you will receive an email sent to the account with which your Serendata Login is tied to

Note: The email will be from Serendata. The reset via this email will expire after one hour only. If this time elapses, the following message will be displayed when an attempt is made to reset the password:

Click "Confirm".

The new password must be or contain:

  • At least 8 characters in length

  • A lowercase letter

  • An uppercase letter

  • A number

  • No parts of your username

  • The password cannot be the same as the last 4 specified passwords

Enter the new password, which matches the criteria above, in the New password field.

Retype the exact same password in the Repeat password field.

Click "Reset Password".

Note: You will be logged into Serendata and email confirmation of a Password Change will be sent directly your Inbox.
