There are multiple Dashboards available within Serendata. They are pitched at different stages so give a unique view on each data set. We have stepped through My Dashboard. Now it is time to focus on the Organisation Dashboard.
My Dashboard contains and displays all Changes, Impacts and Stakeholders that have been specifically assigned to you as an individual/team member. The Organisation Dashboard displays Impact data via a Heatmap, Sunburst, Timeline and Capacity. Data can be viewed by Business Area, Location and Project level at an Organisational Level.

The Dashboard is split into numerous sections, all of which change depending on the filters selected.
There are a series of views that can be selected by which data is displayed. Those being:
View | Description |
Business Areas | This view displays data by Business Area. A Business Area/Department is a functional area within an Organisation. For Example: Finance and Sales. |
Locations | This view displays data by Location. Locations refer to a physical location in which an Organisation operates or a location that is part of the Change Management Programme. This could be an Office, Call Centre, Factory etc. For Example: United Kingdom. It could then be split to highlight Cities – London, Manchester and Newcastle. |
Projects | This view displays data by Project. A Project represents an initiative by an organisation is to deliver a particular outcome through which Change Management is required. An Organisation may and can have multiple Projects on going at any one time. |
Business Areas | This view displays data by Business Area. A Business Area/Department is a functional area within an Organisation. For Example: Finance and Sales. |
There are a series of Tabs that are available on the Organisation Dashboard. Data on each View can then be filtered by Business Areas, Locations and Projects. Those being:

Sunburst | The Sunburst provides a pictorial view of an Organisation and the weighting that each Programme and Project has within an Organisation at a given point in time. Centred is the Organisation. Working from the inside out, the next ring in the Programme(s). The size of each Programme segment depicts the weighting that the Programme has. The next ring displays and details the Projects within each Programme. Subsequent rings then detail the number of Stakeholders, Actions and Impacts within a Project with their associated Risk Ratings. |
Timeline | Timeline is consolidated view of all Timelines for their associated Programme and Projects within an Organisation. The Timeline details all Project Start and End Dates with all associated Milestones. Milestones can include the likes of Go-Live, User Acceptance Testing and Training. |
Capacity | This view displays and breaks down the Capacity of various teams within the Organisation. The Stakeholder view displays a count of Total Impact and Actions assigned to each Stakeholder. This is key in the distribution of work and to identify potential bottlenecks and issues. Audience Capacity displays the Impacts and Actions by Audience. This allows the Audience with the highest level of Change to be tracked and monitored closely. The Change Manager view displays a count of all the Projects that a Change Manager is involved in, how many Stakeholder relationships they are accountable for and how many Change and Impact are assigned specifically to them. |
Heatmap
This section of the Dashboard allows you to:
Select the required view – By Business Areas, Locations and Projects
Input the required Start Date – The allows you to select a start Month and Year on which the Project started and for which data is to be displayed
Select the required Labels – Any Labels that were created as part of a Programme/Project, can be used to Filter data on and by
Business Area
Business Areas are functional business areas within your Organisation. For Example: Finance and Administration, Marketing and Sales and Learning. For each Business Area, data displayed within this view includes:
Total Number of Impacts refers to a metric that displays the total ‘number’ of Impacts within an organisation, displayed within Business Area. In the above example, there are 127 Impacts entered in Projects. This number is a count only.
Impacts Each one of the Impacts are grouped into Risk Categories – Low, Medium, High and Unknown. When you hover over the ‘doughnut’, you will see the number of Impacts that fall within each category.
Gap Analysis indicates the percentage difference between the current and desired states in data completion. In the above example, it is 46% of all Impact associated data has been completed. When you hover over the doughnut, the blue section determines number of Impacts completed on heatmap, and grey section determines number of Impacts not shown due to missing business areas.
Total Counts of Impacts across your Organisation
A monthly timeline is displayed at the top of this section. On the left-hand side, all the Business Areas within the organisation are displayed. Any Impacts that are entered against that Business Area are displayed. The darker the colour, the higher the number of Impacts displayed within the Organisation for a specific Month and Business Area. In the above example, Finance has 20 Impacts from March 25 to July 25, whereas Information Teach has 10 Impacts in the month of March 25 and April 25, 9 Impacts in May 25 and June 25, 8 Impacts in July and 1 Impact from August 25 to January 26.
Note: Information is displayed in the same format regardless of the View selected – Business Areas, Locations and Projects. Select the required View.
Sunburst
The Sunburst provides a pictorial view of an Organisation and the weighting that each Programme and Project has within an Organisation at a given point in time.
Centred is the Organisation. Working from the inside out, the next ring in the Programme(s). The size of each Programme segment depicts the weighting that the Programme has. The next ring displays and details the Projects within each Programme. Subsequent rings then detail the number of Stakeholders, Actions and Impacts within a Project with their associated Risk Ratings.

Total Programmes
A programme represents a shell for Project(s) that an Organisation is executing. A Programme can contain a single or multiple Projects. The benefits of this being:
Increased and defined oversights across multiple Projects in a single instance
Portfolio Reporting
Centrally manage multiple Projects
The Sunburst will firstly display how many Programmes an Organisation is running currently. In the above example, there are 6 Programmes within the Organisation.
Total Impacts by Level
Total Impacts refers to a metric that displays the total ‘number’ of active Impacts within an Organisation, displayed within Projects. In the above example, there are 145 Impacts entered across all Programmes. Impact Levels: Each one of the Impacts are grouped into Risk Categories – High, Medium, Low and Unknown. When you hover over the ‘doughnut’, you will see the Impact number for each category.
Total Actions by RAG
The total ‘number’ of Actions indicates the number of actions you have added. In the above example, the total number of Actions is 67.
Each one of the Actions has a RAG status:
Red: Actions behind plan and no recovery plan in place
Amber: Actions behind plan and recovery plan in place
Green: Actions on-track
Completed: Actions completed
Unknown: Actions Status Unknown
When you hover over the ‘doughnut’, you will see the Action number for each category.
Change Portfolio Overview
The Change Portfolio Overview section is a key by which data within the Sunburst can be interpretated.
This part of the key reflects how large or small the Programmes and Projects are. The darker the colour, the larger the Programmes/Projects are. The lighter the colours, the smaller the Programmes/Projects are.
The Darker the colour, the more Projects are displayed in the second circle from the centre, in shades of Purple. When you hover over the circle of the Sunburst, it will display name of the Programme.
The Change Entities breaks down the colours for the data type that you are viewing. In this case, Impacts, Actions, Stakeholders and Audiences.
The Impact Level breaks down the colours for Impact Rating that are displayed within the Sunburst. For Impacts, the risk ratings applied are either High, Medium, Low or Unknown.
The final section of the key details the Status of each Impact. For Impacts, they are either Complete, Red, Amber, Green and Unknown.
Timeline
All Programmes and subsequent Projects are listed on the left-hand panel. There is a Monthly and Yearly timeline posted along the top of the screen. The solid blue line represents the duration of the Programme/Project, and this is based on the Start and End Dates that are entered during the Set Up Phase. Any Milestones that are entered at a Programme/Project Level will also be visible on the timeline. They will be denoted with a coloured diamond.
Note: If Start and End Dates are not specified when creating the Programme/Project, no blue line will be displayed.
Hovering over each Milestone will provide further information. A breakdown of Milestones includes:

At the bottom of the screen, the Timelines holds a Button Bar within it when you scroll to the bottom of the screen. Hover over each icon to display a brief title/description of what each icon does.

Capacity
This section displays and breaks down the Capacity of various teams within the Organisation.
Stakeholder Capacity displays a count of Total Impact and Actions assigned to each Stakeholder. This is key in the distribution of work and to identify potential bottlenecks and issues.
Audience Capacity displays the number of Impacts and Actions assigned to people within an Audience. This allows the Audience with the highest level of Change to be tracked and monitored closely.
The Change Manager view displays a count of all the Projects that a Change Manager is involved in, how many Stakeholder relationships they are accountable for and how many Change and Impact are assigned specifically to them.
Stakeholder Capacity
The Chart above depicts the Total Impacts and Actions by Stakeholder scaled from most to least in total. Blue depicts Impacts. Peach depicts Actions. A summary of the data in the graph is detailed in the Summary Table below.
