A Stakeholder is someone within an Organisation that has a direct impact on or can influence a Project. Stakeholders do not necessarily need to have a functional role on the Project, they could be an Advocate or someone like a Sponsor or Company CEO. Stakeholders are individuals that can assist, support and influence a Project in any way.
The Stakeholders table holds core data on each Stakeholder on a particular Project. Data displayed includes:

Name | This field displays the full name of the Stakeholder |
The field displays the email address for the Stakeholder | |
Role | This field displays the Job Title for the Stakeholder |
Business Area | This field displays the Business Area in which the Stakeholder works. For example: Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources |
Relationship Owners | This field displays the name of the individual who manages the relationship with this Stakeholder from the Change Programme or Project |
Key Stakeholder | This field indicates if the Stakeholder is key to the Project and Change |
Influence | This field displays the level of influence that the Stakeholder has on the Project. The options are: High, Medium and Low. |
Impact | This field displays the level of Impact that the Stakeholder has on the Project. Impact refers to the Stakeholder having a significant role, skills, knowledge, change within their area of work. The options are: High, Medium and Low. |
Sentiment | The field displays the Stakeholders attitude towards the Change and Project i.e. Positive or Resistant |
Commitment | This field displays the Stakeholders commitment level towards the Project and Change. |
Receptiveness | This field displays how receptiveness the Stakeholder is to the Change and how active they are on the Project. |
Owned Actions | This field displays Actions that are owned by the Stakeholder |
Impacts | This field displays Impacts that are owned by the Stakeholder |
Note Counts | Each time a Stakeholder Record is updated, Serendata keeps a count on all the updates made and will display the number within the Count field. This allows a User to see that there is information behind the Stakeholder Record |
Labels | A field which allows you to attach and create labels to your stakeholders |
Reviewed By | This field displays the name of the individual that last reviewed this Stakeholder Record. This a display only field. |
Last Reviewed On | This field displays the date on which the Stakeholder Record was last reviewed. This a display only field. |
Next Review Date | This field displays the date on which the Stakeholder Record will next be reviewed. If the field appears in red, the date has elapsed. This a display only field. |
Created By | This field displays who created the Stakeholder Record. This a display only field. |
Created On | This field displays the date on which the Stakeholder Record was created. This a display only field. |
Last Modified By | This field displays who last modified the Stakeholder Record. This a display only field. |
Last Modified On | This field displays the date the Stakeholder Record was last modified. This a display only field. |
Stakeholder Maps
A Stakeholder Map is a tool that visually displays relationships and interests for Stakeholders involved on a Project. They depict key Stakeholders, their level of Impact, Influence, and their concerns in relation to a particular Project.

The Total Stakeholder summary allows the following information to be viewed at a high level:

Gap Analysis
Total Number of Stakeholders displays the total number of Stakeholders within a Project. In the example below, there are 46 Stakeholders for this Project. This number is a count only.
Gap Analysis
Gap Analysis indicates the percentage difference between the current and desired states in data completion. In the example below, it is 100% of all Stakeholders’ associated data has been completed.
Stakeholder Views
The Stakeholder Map is split into numerous sections, all of which change depending on the filters selected. There are a series of views that can be selected by which data is displayed. Those being:

All | This field displays the overall view of the Stakeholder Map. Note: This is the default view |
Commitment | This field displays the Commitment of each of the Stakeholders. The various ratings that can be displayed within this field are: Unknown, 1- Blocker, 2- Critic, 3- Challenger, 4- General Understanding, 5- Personal Understanding, 6- Active Supporter, 7- Champion, 8- Adopter, 9- Ember & Sustain, 10 Adapt & Improve |
Sentiment | This field displays the Sentiment of each of the Stakeholders. Sentiment refers to how these individual feel about the Change/Project. The various ratings that can be displayed within this field are: Unknown, 1-4 Concerned, 5-7 Neutral and 8-10 Advocate |
Receptiveness | This field displays the engagement of the Stakeholders. This refers to how receptiveness the Stakeholder is to the Change and how active they are on the Project. The various ratings that can be displayed within this field are: Unknown, 1-4 Concerned, 5-7 Neutral, 8-10 Advocate |
Stakeholder Maps
Based on the information created within Serendata, the Stakeholders are then plotted according to their Level of Impact and Level of Influence. Hovering over the plotted numbers will display the names of the Stakeholders that fall within this cluster.
There are a range of categories that Stakeholders can fit into. Those being:
Keep Satisfied – Above 5 Influence and Below 5 Impact - Priority Stakeholder group. Represents Stakeholders who are highly influential in the organisation and/or the Programme. The Programme will have a significant impact on their future work, processes and behaviours. Their support is critical and should be monitored closely. There should be regular communications through one-on-one meetings or regular detailed updates. An example of such a Stakeholder would be a Programme Director.
Manage Closely – Above 5 Influence and Impact - Priority Stakeholder group. Represents Stakeholders who are highly influential in the organisation and/or the Programme. The Programme will have a significant impact on their future work, processes and behaviours. Their support is critical and should be monitored closely. There should be regular communications through one-on-one meetings or regular detailed updates. An example of such a Stakeholder would be a Programme Director.
Monitor – Below 5 Influence and Impact - Wider Stakeholder pool. Represents Stakeholders who will be communicated to with for key updates. These people won't be directly impacted by the Programme, but should be aware of what is changing at a high level
Keep Informed – Below 5 Influence and Above 5 Impact - Stakeholders who will be impacted by the programme, but are not key decision makers. They should be kept updated about programme decisions and impacts
Stakeholder Map Views
Various views can be applied to the Stakeholder Map. Those being: Commitment, Sentiment and Receptiveness.
Total Number of Stakeholders displays the total number of Stakeholders within a Project based on their Levels. In the example below, there are 46 Stakeholders entered in Project. This number is a count only.
The various Levels of Engagement for Stakeholders are as follows:

Concerned | This field displays the Stakeholders that have reservations or objections about the Project. Their concerns need to be addressed |
Neutral | This field displays the Stakeholders neither support nor oppose the Project. They may require more information or persuasion |
Advocate | This field displays Stakeholders who actively support the Project and its goals. They are enthusiastic, provide resources, and help promote the Project within their networks |
Unknown | This field displays Commitment levels not yet identified |

Commitment View
Using the Commitment View provides a differing view, key and colours. Based on the information gathered and built into Serendata, the Stakeholders are then plotted according to their Level Commitment.

Sentiment View
Using the Sentiment View provides a differing view, key and colours. Based on the information gathered and built into Serendata, the Stakeholders are then plotted according to their Sentiment towards the Project.
