Access Learning
Learning is managed at Project level. Open the relevant Project, then select Learning from the left-hand sidebar.

Structure your curriculum
Serendata organises Learning into four connected content levels, with a separate Timeline view for reviewing development schedules. Build the curriculum from the top down so that the detailed learning content sits beneath the appropriate higher-level structure.

Open the Learning data
To create or edit curriculum records, select View Data from the Learning area.

Within the data view, use the Sub Section selector to move between the curriculum levels without returning to the dashboard.

Create a Curriculum Tracker
Start with Courses and then work down through Modules, Lessons and Components. In each Sub Section, use the teal + button to create a new record.

Build from the top down
Create the overall Course structure first. Add the relevant Modules beneath each Course, then create the Lessons required within those Modules and finally add the Components that make up each Lesson. Working in this order keeps the curriculum organised and ensures the reporting views populate meaningfully as more learning data is entered.
Review the Learning Dashboard
Once you have started entering Learning records, return to the Learning Dashboard to find real-time reporting on your curriculum. The dashboard becomes more useful as Courses, Modules, Lessons and Components are added and maintained.

The dashboard shows totals for Courses, Modules, Lessons and Components, alongside Module RAG status, development progress, ownership and type. Use these views to understand the current state of the curriculum, compare areas of development and identify Modules requiring attention.
Use Timeline to review development schedules
When your learning records include development timing information, open Timeline to understand how lessons and modules are scheduled across time.

The Timeline plots Lessons assigned to Modules against their planned development dates. Use the Timeline tab to open the view, review the curriculum items listed down the left-hand side and compare their schedules across the displayed period. The zoom controls can be used to adjust the level of detail, while View Data takes you back to the underlying Learning records when updates are required.
Maintain your curriculum
As learning development progresses, keep ownership, RAG status, development progress and planned dates up to date. This ensures that both the Learning Dashboard and Timeline continue to reflect the current position accurately.
