Choose a project or programme
Within Serendata, a Project is a grouping of change data specific to a circumstance, and a Programme is a grouping of relevant projects.
When you first enter your organisation, click on the ‘Select project’ dropdown. From here, you will be provided with the options shown below.

2 | Create Programme. | Select this button to open the programme creator. |

Create a programme
To enter the programme creator, select the button denoted by number 2 in Figure 1.
When the programme creator opens, you will be asked to provide the information shown in Figures 2 and 3. Fields denoted by a red * are mandatory to create a programme within Serendata.

1 | Name. | This is where you will name your programme. |
2 | Change Vision URL. | A Change Vision document can be attached here as a URL. |
3 | Search Contacts. | Here you can search for and attach key contact information for users of the programme within Serendata to view and access. |
4 | Sponsor. | Here you can search for and attach the contact information of programme sponsors for users of the programme within Serendata to view and access. |
5 | Start Date. | This is where you can state the start date of your programme. |
6 | End Date. | This is where you can state the end date of your programme. |
7 | Progress Status. | This is where you can state the Status of your programme: Not Started, In Progress, Completed, On Hold or Cancelled. |

3 | Projects. | Here you can attach any existing projects to be housed within your newly created programme. |
4 | Create Another. | Select this button to finalise this programme and open a new instance of the programme creator. |
5 | Create. | Select this button to finalise the creation of this programme. |
Create a project
Alongside the programme creation tool, there is also a project creator. This is accessed by the button denoted by number 3 in Figure 1.
When the project creator opens, you will be asked to provide the information shown in Figures 4 to 6. Fields denoted by a red * are mandatory.

1 | Project Name. | This is where you will name your project. |
2 | Project Sponsor. | Here you can search for and attach the contact information of project sponsors for users of the project within Serendata to view and access. |
3 | Start Date. | This is where you can state the start date of your project. |
4 | End Date. | This is where you can state the end date of your project. |
5 | Progress Status. | This is where you can state the Status of your project: Not Started, In Progress, Completed, On Hold or Cancelled. |
