Before you start
The SAP Signavio® integration is configured once for the whole organisation. You will need access to Serendata Settings and the connection details for your SAP Signavio® workspace: the API base URL, your Workspace ID, and the email address and secret of the technical user Serendata will connect as. If you also want to read process conformance, you will need a Process Intelligence API token.
1. Connect your Serendata and SAP Signavio® workspaces
Open Settings and select SAP Signavio® Integration. Enter the Base URL for your SAP Signavio® region, your Workspace ID, the Technical user email and its Secret, then select Save. Select Test connection to confirm Serendata can reach your workspace. When the connection succeeds, the status shows Connected and the date and time of the last successful check is shown under Last verified.

Updating the connection. Once a secret has been saved it is not shown again. Leave the Secret field blank to keep the stored secret, or enter a new one to replace it. Select Disconnect to remove the connection for the whole organisation.
Process Intelligence is a separate, optional connection that lets Serendata read process conformance. Create an API token on the OData views tab of your Process Intelligence process configuration, then enter the Process Intelligence URL and API token, select Save and Test connection.

2. Import your processes and process roles
Processes are managed from Core Data. Open Core Data from Settings, then select Processes. Once the integration is connected, two options appear at the top of the page: Import from SAP Signavio® and Create in SAP Signavio®.
Figure 3. Processes in Core Data
Select Import from SAP Signavio® to choose the folders and process diagrams to bring into Serendata. Expand a folder to see the processes beneath it, or use Select all and Clear to change the selection quickly. Use the toggle in the top-right corner to switch between the tree and column views. Items that have already been imported are marked Imported. Select Next to continue the import. Your processes are added to the process hierarchy in Core Data, and the process roles from your diagrams are added to Process Roles, ready to be mapped to Business Roles and people.

Working the other way. If your process hierarchy was built in Serendata first, select Create in SAP Signavio® to mirror it into your SAP Signavio® workspace, down to level 3. Selecting a process automatically includes the processes above it, and everything is created directly under Shared Documents. Level 3 processes can be created as a BPMN diagram instead of a folder. Anything that already exists in SAP Signavio® is reused, so it is safe to run this more than once.

3. Link Transformation Manager objectives and initiatives
Objectives and initiatives from SAP Signavio® Transformation Manager can be imported as Programmes and Projects, so the change work in Serendata follows the same structure as your transformation.
Import an objective as a Programme. Choose one Transformation Manager objective and the initiatives to bring with it. The objective becomes a Programme and each chosen initiative becomes a Project under it, created immediately. An initiative that already backs a Project is attached to the new Programme instead of being duplicated. Objectives that have already been imported are marked and cannot be imported again.
Figure 6. Import objective from SAP Signavio®
Import an initiative as a Project. Choose a single Transformation Manager initiative. Its values are mapped onto the Project form for you to review and complete, and the Project is created and linked to the initiative when you save the form. An initiative can be imported into more than one Project; initiatives that are already linked are marked for reference.
Figure 7. Import initiative from SAP Signavio®
Sending people signal scores back. Once a Project is linked to an initiative, Serendata sends the corresponding people signal scores back to that initiative in Transformation Manager. This gives transformation leads a view of how ready the people affected by each initiative are, alongside the rest of the initiative’s information in SAP Signavio®.
4. Pull through process conformance scores
When the Process Intelligence connection is in place, Serendata reads conformance scores for your processes from the Process Intelligence SIGNAL OData API. Conformance shows how closely the process actually being followed matches the designed process. Reviewing it alongside impacts, readiness and training in Serendata helps you see where people are not yet working in the new way and where further support may be needed.
Recommended workflow
Connect and test the SAP Signavio® integration first, adding Process Intelligence if you want conformance data. Import your processes and process roles into Core Data, then map the process roles to Business Roles and people. Import your Transformation Manager objectives and initiatives as Programmes and Projects so people signal scores flow back to SAP Signavio®. Finally, use conformance scores to track whether the new processes are being adopted after go-live.
