Locations represent the geographical locations where the Organisation is based. They are managed from within an Organisation in Insight.
Locations are created using a ‘tree structure’ to represent different levels of locations.
Note: Care should be taken when deleting Locations as they will typically be connected to a number of Stakeholders, Programmes, Projects and Impacts.
Within Locations you can:
create top-level and sub-locations
change the name of locations - you can do this using the Edit (Pencil) button next to the location you wish to change
delete locations - you can do this using the Bin button next to the location you wish to delete.
Create a new location
From any screen, select the Settings wheel at the bottom left-hand corner of the screen and select ORGANISATION SETTINGS
Select Locations
Select the + button
Enter the name of the Location
Select ✓
Note: Locations in Insight are created using a ‘tree structure’. This step will create the top-level Locations displaying the blue + button.
Create a Sub-location
If you want to create a grouping of locations based on your top-level organisation, you can do so using the + button in any existing location.
