These reports are here to aid you in your Impact assessment process and enable you to know where you need to prioritise your focus.

If you head to the Impact section of any of your Projects, you will now notice a new tab titled Impact Assessment.

There are nine new tiles on this page; they are as follows:

  • Total Impacts by Level

  • Gap Analysis

  • Impacts by Type

  • Impacts by Location

  • Impacts by Business Area

  • Impacts by Owner

  • Impacts by average Stakeholder Sentiment

  • Impacts by average Stakeholder Commitment

  • Impacts by average Stakeholder Receptiveness

Total Impacts by Level

This donut chart shows you the total number of detailed Impacts within this project and how they are split based on level. Each part of the donut is clickable, meaning that you can quickly get to a grid view of the Impacts that make up each area.

For example, if I want to view a list of all of the Impacts that are currently logged as high level, all I need to do is simply click into the high area of the donut, and the system will take me to a filtered view.

Gap Analysis

You will notice gap analysis donut charts becoming more frequent across all areas of the system. We are trying to introduce these reports in as many areas as we can to ensure that you always know where there may be gaps in knowledge that could become problematic if not discovered.

In this instance, it is showing me how many Impacts are included in the reports and how many are excluded due to missing data.

For example, the system will not be able to include an Impact on the Impacts by type report if it is missing the type.

The reports following are all based on your total Impacts in comparison to different variables; each report is then also split by Impact level to give you as much richness as possible from the outputs.

Impacts by Type

This report shows you a bar chart of how your Impacts are spread across each of your Impact types. This shows the total number within each type, along with how each bucket splits based on Impact level.

Thus, I could click through and view a list of all of the Impacts that are of a high level and singular type.

For example, if I wish to view only high level Impacts within a singular type, I could click through on a high section of one of my types, and it will return a list view that matches both the level and the type.

Impacts by Location

This report shows you a breakdown of how your Impacts are landing geographically and the different levels of Impacts for each location. Giving you a quick and easy visualisation of where is most heavily impacted alongside the Impact level breakdown for each location.

Meaning that if there were one location overly impacted with high level Impacts, you could click through to be taken to a list view of all high level Impacts hitting that location, enabling you to restrategise or priotise to ensure BAU in that location.

Impacts by Business Area

This report shows you the breakdown of Impacts across all of your business areas. Again, this also shows the variation of Impact levels across each of the business areas.

This allows you to visualise each business function and how heavily impacted they are. Each area of the report is clickable, so if you wish to see the Impacts that make up any area of the report, simply click and it will return a list view for the area you have selected.

Impacts by Owner

This report shows how many Impacts are spread across the team members for this project and how the Impact levels vary for each.

NOTE: An Impact owner can only be assigned to a user within the system.

Meaning, if I wish to see how many Impacts I am personally responsible for, I can visit this report, and it will show me the total number I am assigned and also the breakdown of levels.
