When you assign an individual Stakeholder or a Stakeholder Audience to a project, you create a Stakeholder project profile – this is a unique set of data that shows a Stakeholder or Stakeholder Audience's engagement with the particular project.

Pre-requisite: An Individual Stakeholder or Audience must first be created at an Organisation level before it can be added to the Project; see the help article Create an Individual Stakeholder or Audience.

Note: A Stakeholder List can be created easily to add many Stakeholder Individuals and/or Audiences to the project at once; see the help article Create and manage a Stakeholder List.

Steps

  1. From the Programme or Project screen, use the left-hand Project Navigator and select Stakeholders.

  2. Select whether you wish to update the Stakeholder list or the Audience list using the tabs at the top of this page. The steps to follow in both scenarios are similar.

  3. Select the STAKEHOLDER or AUDIENCE tab at the top of the page.

  4. Start typing the name of the Stakeholder/Audience to be added to the project into the Search field.
Note: If you cannot find the stakeholder you are looking for at this point, it may be that they have not been added into Insight as a Stakeholder at an Organisation level. You can add them to the system, without returning to the Manage Organisation function, by selecting Create New from the top of the search field.

  5. When you have found the correct stakeholder, select their name - they will be automatically added to the top of your list of stakeholders/audience.

  6. You can then scroll across the page, completing any additional information in that you may have available to you
Note: the more information you include, the richer the picture you will be able to build on the stakeholders and audiences that you are tracking.

If you wish to see the detailed record for the stakeholder or audience, select the record by checking the check box to the left of the record, and double clicking on the name.
