Labelling has been introduced as a new cross-function categorisation feature to associate and group different areas of the system into one bucket. This gives Users another way to slice their data and view it in a new way.

A Label data entry point has been added to every data entry point across the system, enabling you to group together various pieces of data into one bucket. When adding a Label, it will predict the Label based on what you are typing and show you Labels that have already been used, or you can continue typing to add a new tag.

This will then become filterable and searchable across the system, enabling a new view of just the data that has been labelled.

Creating a Label

In each table, there is a column called Label.

This is a free text field where you can select from existing labels in the system or generate new labels by simply typing them into the prompt box and selecting Enter.

Editing a Label

To edit a Label, open the piece of data with the Label; from here, you can add and remove the Labels associated with that piece of data.

You can’t change a pre-existing Label, only create a new one or remove it. So, to update a piece of data with new Label(s), you will need to remove any appropriate Labels and then add in the new ones.

Filtering a Label

Creating views of your data using Labels is the same process as filtering your data with the existing filtering options.

Simply head to the Filters options as you would normally and search for the relevant Label at the top of the column.
